Bude As A University Town?

On 25th-27th November, the Waterfront Marquee is hosting a surfing competition for university students from a wide range of universities. The first event of its kind in Bude, Events and restaurant Manager, Callum Drury, himself a keen surfer, hopes to put Bude on the map as a recognised destination for university groups. 

The Marquee, which is this weekend hosting the fashion and hair show in aid of the Save Our Sea Pool group, was built in 2010 and has been used for lots of eating, dancing, and music events, including a very successful Black Galleon concert and a Jazz Week event

Lots of students love to surf so it will be fabulous to see them here in Bude making the most of the town during the quieter season........
