Christmas is Over - Time to Get Fit?
By dawnrw | Tuesday, December 27, 2011, 08:47
It happens every year. We all overdose on food and drink at Christmas and then decide we need to get fit the following year. For many of us, fitness features highly on our New Year's Resolution list.

For such a small town, Bude is fortunate in having a selection of gyms and trainers who can help you to achieve max fitness! Gerrard's Gym is one to try if you are serious about fitness. Based at Kings Hill, the gym offers machines and free weights, plus a one to one consultation and a personal trainer. Or you may fancy Fusion Fitness which in at Burn View Lane and also offers fitness help to those suffering neurological problems and Bokwa classes. For women Curves says it offers a 30 minute weight loss programme specially designed for women which burns off 500 calories per session. Or you may prefer a personal trainer who comes to you. Try SR-K who is mobile/flexible. Last but not least from our directory, is Emma Woodcock, who is a fitness trainer based at Budehaven Leisure Centre. If there are any other trainers or gyms out there please ask them to add their details to our directory on Bude People. I must admit that a 30 minute swim every morning when I lived up north did wonders for my fitness levels but here I think some more serious walking may be the answer, take in those views. However, such unstructured activity tends to fall bythe wayside, so a scheduled gym or fitness session is probably the best way to achieve quick results!
