Diamond ring and cash stolen in Bude burglary

Police in Bude are appealing for witnesses after a burglary at a house in the town earlir this month. It happened at a property in Penny Lane at around 3.10pm on Monday 14th January.

A double glazed window was smashed with a hammer to gain access to the house. Once inside, the offender carried out what's being described by police as 'an untidy search'. They left having stolen an expensive ring and a quantity of cash.

The ring is an 18 carat, white gold, five stone diamond ring with a foreign hallmark.

The burglar was seen riding off on a bike and is described as a white man in his twenties. He was approximately 6' tall with a slight build and was wearing jeans and a beanie hat.

Police would like to hear from witnesses or anyone with information regarding the burglary.
