Goodbye, Bude People...Lovely Knowing you

As most of you will by now know, my contract with Bude People/Northcliffe ends tomorrow. 

I'd like to take this final opportunity to thank everyone out there in Bude - and beyond - who helped me to get to know the people and the area. I have enjoyed working on Bude People and feel it helped me enormously to get to know the place as an incomer. I've loved meeting you, interviewing people and attending events. Think my greatest coup has to be the 'discovery' of the Penny Farthing Post which proved very newsworthy at the time.......good luck Graham!! 

I'd also like to thank Jo Wood for taking a gamble on a newcomer to the area in the first place, and to Northcliffe for their support. Working on Bude People, despite the occasional technical frustrations, has given me invaluable digital experience at a hyperlocal level.

While I'm now looking forward to moving on to my next project - or 3 - I'd like to wish all the best to my successor, Emma, and hope that working on Bude People proves as rewarding for her as it has for me. Me......well, I shan't be sitting still, and you'll be hearing more soon.
