This week Bude played their first ever FA cup fixture away at Larkhall, north of Bath. Against SWWFL premier league opposition, Bude were always going to have a challenge on their hands but they were up for it.

Despite going a goal down in the 11th minute, Bude absorbed pressure well for the remainder of the first half and came out for the second period looking for an equaliser. It was the worst start possible though as Larkhall doubled their lead from the kick off and it was 2-0 on 46 minutes.
Bude kept alert and more positive play saw Leanne Stanbury and Sarah Badham link up. Badz slotted the ball into the right hand corner to make it 2-1. Bude almost equalised shortly after, Leanne's shot bouncing just inches over the crossbar.
The home side looked nervous as Bude continued with the pressure, Courtney Ward and Anita Symons working well with Leanne and Badz to keep the ball in Larkhall's half.
Pushing forward, Bude let their concentration slip at the back and three swift goals put the game out of reach. Despite this, Bude still fought and played good footy right until the end against very strong opposition.
Joint Man of the Match this week are Sarah Badham and Leanne Stanbury.
