Small is Beautiful

Popped into Cafe Bellini on Friday evening, not realising quite how small it is inside. Small, as they say, is beautiful, and the food was lovely. We all opted for pizza and can recommend the Pizza Toscana with lovely flavoursome sun blush tomatoes, peppers, field mushrooms and olives, with a wild rocket and parmesan accompaniment. Also enjoyed my glass of Il Meridione Cattarrato (and no, I wasn't driving) which I'd never had before. The service was friendly and the food extremely tasty. It looks a great place to sit outside of on a sunny day drinking freshly squeezed orange juice and eating a panini. The opening hours are a little limited in the evening and the tables are quite small but the place provides a simple but satisfying cafe experience I have not enjoyed since previously in Italy or Spain......well worth a visit! 5 star food but 4 star accommodation as in a bit cramped. But good atmosphere and was full when we were there so we were lucky to get a table (given the size they tend not to reserve so it is a bit pot luck)........
