Bude Community Cinema is nearly a year old - and we need feedback - about progress to date, but more importantly, what do YOU want from BCC in the future.

If you are on the BCC Mailing List, you'll know me as JohnG and will have read stuff like this before.  But whether you're on the Mailing List or not, we'd like answers to questions like these ...

    1. Are you bothered whether films are shown in Bude or not?
    2. If you are, how often would you like films to be shown?  (Currently we show films monthly and would need a few more volunteers if this is to increase.)
    3. What types of film would interest you - Newish releases? Older classics? Romance? Comedy? Foreign? Contemporary/Arthouse? - or a good mix?
    4. Currently we say 'Friday is film night in Bude'.  Is this OK with you, or would a different night be better?

... and please let us have any other views, opinions and suggestions you may have.

Post them on this site for all to see - or if they are not suitable for internet publication, send an e-mail to info@budecinema.org.uk - the message will go to BCC Chairman.

Finally, think about joining our Mailing List, then we'll keep you informed about developments.  Our web site has all the information - tinyurl.com/nxs9v8

You say you want feedback. Here's is some.

First, Young Victoria film last night was great.  More like that please.

Next. Sound at Slumdog Millionnaire was far too loud.  Much better yesterday.

I posted a question last month asking if you'll be getting Star Trek.  No answer so far.  Film is said to be very good

Hi John - Many thanks to you and the others for all your hard work over the last year.
My answers to your questions as follows:-
    1. Yes I'm bothered about films being shown in Bude - I think they should be.
    2. Not sure the support is there to show more than once monthly - although summer months, with visitors, could possibly support twice monthly.
    3. Difficult one - "newish" releases - meaning that they're already out on DVD - if it's a popular film - it's a difficult choice to see it at the Parkhouse Centre, or buy the DVD and see it in the comfort of your own home. Some of the better films escape the attention of the media - but are well worth seeing - (often those shown by Film Clubs).
    4. Friday nights are a good option.
Lets have some more views before the AGM!
