Hi, I have posted this in the bideofrdpeople site, and as Bude seems just as close I thought I'd have a go here as well.

Hi all, I'm visiting this wonderful place in March for a long weekend with my beautiful wife. Only thing is, it is the weekend including 19th March, which also happens to be a grand day in the world of rugby, in fact it is the final day of the RBS 6 Nations, which includes Ireland v England, my wife ebing irish and myself being English enjoy this clash more than anyother. Are there any pubs which will be showing the 6 nations games, there are actually 3 games on that day, and my wife and I would love to watch at least 2 of the games.

now I know this maybe pushing it, but if there is a chinese take away nearby also, so we can stumble into there before getting a cab back to our rented cittage in Hartland, would make it perfect :)

You're in luck. Several of the pubs in Bude have Sky, so will probably be showing the rugby and there are two Chinese takeaways. The Silver River in The Strand is very central, or Chungs on Flexbury Park which is on the edge of town but also convenient for all the pubs that end of town. Basically, you can't go wrong.

If you tell the driver to drop you at the Carriers in the Strand, if you don't like that you are only five minutes walk from the Brendon Arms or Bencoolan. Just up the hill is the Lucky Kiss (the entrance is next to Boots) which is more of a bar, but quite smart, or keep going and down the hill past Sainsbury's is the Inn on the Green (overlooking the Downs and Crooklets beach). That's the furthest away, but still only ten minutes walk from the Strand, and only five minutes walk away from Chungs.
