First with regards you not being able to see the messages you are sending. I had this problem a while back. You should have a continuation option after the last message you can see and may well on other message threads. When I had the problem it was a thread that I had started (just like you). I sent a message to the Bude People help facility via the FAQ page and the following day the problem had gone. Worthwhile also asking if tinyurl.com/yz4md3o is fully tested with Firefox. There is no obligation for web designers to test their sites on all platforms and there are examples of sites that don’t work properly in every situation.   

With regards your main Firefox problem. The web site that was causing people problems when setup as the home page was tinyurl.com/yzptm7f so it doesn’t look like that’s the problem. I don’t know if Firefox has ‘add-ons’ like IE, but if there is a similar facility I suggest you turn them all off or even un-install them. Also check that all OS updates are installed. Check firewall and virus setting as well. Search the internet for “firefox page load issues”, I just did and there’s lots of information out there. It’s amazing what you can find out with a few choice words. 

I use Google as a home page because it’s very basic and therefore loads very quickly. Some pages (MSN.com is a good example) contains a huge amount of articles, pictures etc etc on the first page and can take ages to load. I’m not convinced that they don’t affect everything that follows as well.

Hi Ray, Just for clarity all the LocalPeople sites have been tested, and are re-tested on a regular basis, with the main web surfing programs. Personally, I use Firefox and Safari all day, every day without any problems at all.
