"Safeways" has been Morrisons for quite some time now. I think making it bigger is quite a good idea, especially with the influx of emmets during July and August who make it more cramped than usual. As for the entrance at the back, I can't see how that would work. Anyway, when you can only find a parking space at the farthest point from the store it doesn't matter where the entrance is - when it's raining you are going to get (very) wet.

ReportI think Briman meant Sainsburys . I don't think much of it , just a revamped Somerfield, the problem of getting wet has been solved a litte by the huge tunnel . All it needs is a few fish either side and we could be a plymouth aquarium.

I agree with Lighthouse09 - it can only be Sainsbury's. I also agree that any expectations of a bigger/better store were false - the buildng is not big enough.
However, I think it's a bit better - the Somerfield store had become a bit 'tired' - and now there's a bit of a buzz about the place.
What really puizzles me is that if the new management want to be part of the 'local' scene (and they've helped a few good causes, so give them credit for that) but why do we get shelf labels labels telling us the price of similar goods in Tesco??? Tell us what the Morrisons price is, then we can judge whether it would be worth the journey.
And what about online shopping and delivery?
