Stress, anxiety and pressures on relationships caused by the economic recession has seen a great deal of people seeking counselling. There are times when we are just unable to cope with things on our own. As much as we would like to keep things to ourself, when it comes to the crunch, counselling is a very therapeutic and life changing experience.
I recently saw a client who had seen a number of counsellors, psychotherapists and psychiatrists in the past, with varying results. This client had an acute anxiety which was ruining normal life. After only 6 sessions in counselling, it was as if my client was a completely new person. Life was now something that was an adventure and looked forward to with a great enthusiasm.
I am an experienced counsellor who is non-judgemental and very empathic. I feel sure that you will be able to express your difficulties more effectively, without fear of any stigma, as you are given a very high degree of confidentiality. In the counselling sessions, you can explore various aspects of your life and feelings, talking about them freely and openly in a way that is rarely possible with friends and family. Bottled up feelings such as anxiety, grief, anger and embarrassment can become extremely intense and counselling offers you an opportunity to explore them, possibly making them easier to understand. I will encourage you to express your feelings.
Experienced and qualified and yet I believe that my most valuable asset is life experience. Having faced and overcome many challenges in my own life, it has left me with a belief that helping others into awareness is not just a job, it is a passion and a way of life!
