bude library.
great to hear today from nigel pearce that the free parking at bude library and one stop shop has been reinstated. sounds like it was mainly due to all the people who signed the petition.

some common sense at last.

The sub office offered a genuine one stop shop before the term was even thought of in Truro. No disrespect to the library staff but their service often amounts to handing over of phone number and in no way equates to the personal service provided at the old sub-office.
Diane Colwill (my estranged wife) was the last person employed in the sub office. She has remained in Bude working on Canal/Harbour and Beach hut administration among other duties. She was made redundant as of 11.11.11.
I believe Bude has is the poorer for the loss of a designated Council office and designated member of staff.
