The more small shops we can have in Bude the better to encourage people to use the town. On wandering round yesterday, I was surprised at just what a variety there is already but more are needed.........

Paul, yes I wanted to raise the discussion to encourage bude people to be brave and start their own business. I opened Wise Old Crow on 5th March, and have never looked back.

Even if you take a unit for the summer months only, this is fine, there are currently four units empty, all good sizes, so how about taking a unit for may until september, reap the summer trade..cheap rent, what could be better!!

Just an update on the strand shopping centre, (formerly Julias Arcade)The music shop that was one of the front shops has relocated to inside the shopping centre, and the painted furniture shop that was inside, will be moving to the front at the end of this month, re opening beginning November,in its place will be a fab new shop ( cant disclose what it will be yet), also two other units are going to be filled (again you will have to pop in early novemeber to see)
From a very empty summer in the strand shopping centre, the units are now filling up fast, with a brand new carpet store that opened at the beginning of this month. If you are looking to open a shop before xmas, contact Miller Commercial, but get in fast, it seems they are the perfect alternative to high rates, and a long contract.
My shop Wise Old Crow, is taking delivery of some fab Xmas pressie ideas, so if you know of any family members or friends that love the unusual, fairies, gothic, witchy things pop in for a browze, or how about for the person who has everything, a voucher for a psychic reading. I offer an incentive for locals, of a 10% off card for loyal customers.
I look forward to seeing you shopping in the strand shopping centre.
