Hi Dawn,
SORRY.....as you know normally our soup (ALWAYS home-made but of course) would have gone down a treat however we are taking a short break as it is quietest in January and a good time to visit family, decorate at home and in my case, complete a qualification!!
Late afternoon and evenings in winter are a problem however as there aren't usually enough people around to stay open. Did you try the Weir? What about Life's a Beach? What times does The Falcon kick off an evening service or The Catsle? Not sure of current opening times of others in winter but maybe people could fill you in. Visitors are often shocked that there isn't the widest choice of place to eat in the evening out of season and it is a shame but for us certainly it is not worth being open later because one spends more than can be taken ...........wages and central heating costs for a kick-off (lovely and warm though so worth every penny!).
Best advice I can give Dawn is to try and find yourself with a spare hour in the summer!!!! Then you will be literally spoilt for choice!
