Have you ever wondered about your existence on this earth and why things are as they are? Do you ever feel that there has to be more to life than there seems to be? Well, the Holy Celtic Church has been teaching the mystical understanding of the scriptures for many years and there is a branch of the meditation and discussion group meeting in Bude. You don't have to be an experienced meditator as tuition is given free of charge, there are no subscriptions or dues. We welcome all faiths, in fact anyone with an open mind will find that they can gain an understanding of the true nature of their being.
Although the Christian mysteries are explored, we also look at many other scriptures, myths and legends in order to make a comparison with universal truths. The group explores the ancient spiritual mysteries in a way that every member can understand and participate in. Our group does not try to indoctrinate or to impose narrow religious beliefs on its members, we encourage everyone to seek and discover the mysteries and develop a greater understanding. We are non-judgemental and encourage all to express their thoughts, ask questions and gain a greater understanding of their true self and a vast world beyond the physical.
This is probably as close as you can get to the ancient mystery schools in our modern age. The people of Bude and surrounding area are welcome to join us, but please don't expect a traditional church with all it's great architecture and material treasures. The only treasures we have are those that can be found within ourselves. Indeed, these treasures are greater than any material gold. We endeavour to continue the simplicity of the Celtic Church that was once an integral part of Cornwall, who's Celtic Saints still leave their testimony for all to see.
