This event is now being advertised outside of the Bude area and so we have to ask those who have not yet registered their interest, to do so fairly soon. We are limited by the seating capacity of the Neetside Centre and so we would not want you to be dissapointed on the day. The first of a series of meditation sessions is beginning at the Neetside Centre, Bude, on Monday 5th March at 2.30 - 4.30 pm. There will always be an experienced tutor available for those who need a little guidance. The course includes an insight into effective relaxation, understanding consciousness and the many uses of meditatation, such as healing, stress and anxiety relief. A good deal of scientific and medical research has been done on the health benefits of meditation. Research has shown that meditation improves the immune system, cuts the risk of heart attack by half, can have pain relieving effects greater than morphine, reduce levels of anxiety, depression, anger and fatigue and can rewire the parts of the brain that regulate emotions and behaviour. That's a very good reason for me to be offering this to the community free of charge. We begin at the Neetside Centre Meeting Room, Neetside, Bude EX23 8LB. 2.30 - 4.30pm. Meditation, can help us become more relaxed, focussed, healthier, spiritual and able to cope with the everyday 'stuff' we all encounter, helping us to see it differently, perhaps, less stressfully. Once you know the techniques and can practise them successfully, it is something you can do at home - or elsewhere - for the rest of your life. And it doesn't need to be about religion though it forms part of many contemplative religions. Many people discover meditation to deal with various medical conditions, finding it extremely therapeutic.. We welcome people from all walks of life, of all cultures, creeds and faiths and of no faith, to our meditation sessions.
