Eating out in Bude

Whether it is fine dining or a top quality Indian meal, here in Bude we are lucky to have a wide choice of restaurants for such a comparatively small population, no doubt helped by the fact that we get a lot of tourists.

For fine dining it is hard to beat Elements. Situated half way between Bude  and Widemouth Bay, the restaurant rightly enjoys an excellent reputation locally for its exciting menu and use of local ingredients wherever possible.

And the cliff top position and panoramic windows down one side of the dining room make for some spectacular views while you are eating. Take a taxi because the wine list is rather good too.

In Bude town itself there are several excellent bistros, but special mention must go to Life's a Beach not only because of the excellent menu and great staff, but it's position overlooking Summerleaze Beach.

For those who enjoy a well prepared authentic curry there are two stand-out choices in the town - Bude Tandoori and Mirchi. Both offer their own slant on the usual traditional dishes, and both are really good. Just check out the customer reviews in our Business Directory and you will see they both get a five star rating.

Staying with Eastern flavours, we only have one Chinese restaurant in Bude (although there are two good takeaways), and Tiandi also enjoys a five star review rating in the BudePeople Business Directory. And deservedly so.

The menu is really good with some unusual takes on traditional recipes (try the sweet and sour cod), the staff are friendly and the ambience is great.
