Nice but a bit strange!

Had a meeting in here as only place we all knew in the town. The drinks were nice enough but slow service, the place itself is very nice and feels like you have stepped back in time a little. The staff were very friendly but seemed to put a really strange mix of music on from heavy metal to 50's type rubbish and also turned the volume from silent to deafening constantly, like we had walked into a pub run by teenagers who didn't really care.

Disappointing

Me and a friend both ordered medium rare rump steaks last night. They arrived very well done and very tough. We told the waitress who just said "sorry about that and walked off". The meal didn't represent good value for money at £12.50 and was of a very poor standard. Disappointing as this pub has a good reputation for food - they were very busy with lots of holiday makers.
